Possession

Ok. how do i know about this book? How does it come about?

It started when i was book-browsing (it's a habit i can't get rid of upon entering a bookshop) and i got attracted to the title itself. Plus it has the word ROMANCE which makes me jumping with joy when i finally owned it! :D
It was exactly the same feeling as i stumbled upon THE Narcissist by Edmund Wee.
I just knew that it IS the book. ( just like HE is the one) ;)

it took me months before i get the book off the shelves. (Due to restraining myself upon finishing the p.paper) And now i have started reading the book and Possession is in fact THE BOOK! (for the next upcoming project). Period.

Here I am again..reading almost half way of the book. As i read it, i never realized how obsessed one can be when it comes to learning and studying someone's background and characteristics. I am referring to the main character of this novel, Roland and his journey in discovering about 2 Victorian poets. Byatt is very detailed in describing the journey and it is simply amazing. A descriptive narrative one will be able to follow the plot closely.

17th July.

i love this book!!! although i did fall asleep a few times while reading it..but towards the ending my heart pumped so hard that i could hardly put the book down! love it love it love it!

Let me quote a few lines that are worth pondering..

This was written in a letter by Randolph Ash to Christable LaMotte
"... - for I most certainly love you and in all ways possible to man and most fiercely. It is a love for which there is no place in this world - a love my diminished reason tells me can and will do neither of us good, a love i tried to hide cunningly from, to protect you from, with all the ingenuity at my command." (Byatt 193)

A love which brought anger in me (because of all the unexpected twists happened)

However, i will still award 5 STARS to Possession! love it, love the book!
