This novel currently is being used as one of the text for Komsas Bahasa Melayu Form 5. The use of this novel has caused stir and some had even disagree of the content of the novel.
So, out of curiosity i decided to read this novel. The title of the novel is catchy enough (and i am yet to figure out the meaning of 'Interlok'). The novel is divided into four parts. The plot i would say is rather predictable. As the writer has highlighted his concern upon the erratic responses he received, "he is writing it to emphasize on the integration of the three main race in Malaysia."
